The Carolina Selects summer program is all about keeping the momentum going in the off-season—continuing to build skills, compete, and grow as players. It’s a chance for athletes from different organizations and cities to come together, form new bonds, and push each other in a fresh, competitive environment. Most importantly, it’s a summer filled with development, teamwork, and a whole lot of fun both on and off the ice.

What we offer

Monthly Practices

The Carolina Selects will hold a minimum of eight practices over the spring/summer—typically two each month—giving players consistent ice time to develop skills, build chemistry, and stay sharp throughout the off-season.

Practices will be held between March and July in the Raleigh area.

Great summer competition.

The Carolina Selects offer strong, fun summer competition and a great way to keep your game sharp in the off-season. The team will compete in a minimum of four summer tournaments, providing plenty of high-quality reps, exciting matchups, and opportunities to grow alongside teammates from across the region.

How are teams created?

Teams will be formed based on registration numbers. When enough players from a single birth year register to fill a roster (10–13 skaters plus a goalie), a dedicated birth-year team will be created. If individual birth years do not have sufficient numbers, mixed-year teams (major/minor—for example, 10U with 2016/2017 players) will be formed.

Please note that not all teams will be at the same competition level. To ensure appropriate tournament placement, player references will be requested during registration in lieu of an ID skate this year.
